Hackney's standards committee exists to keep an eye on councillors' conduct, yet seems to have been taking a long nap. Its last minutes date from July 2025, 15 months ago. The next two meetings, in November 2025 and February 2026, were both cancelled. So the watchdog went quiet for an entire election year. Timing is everything.
