Two men injured in suspected acid attack in Hackney
Two men in their twenties were taken to hospital after a corrosive substance was thrown at them in Lower Clapton last Friday.
In footage and pictures shared on social media, the men can be seen getting out of a car and quickly removing their clothes.
Members of the public then douse them with water to remove the substance, suspected to be acid.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Cricketfield Road.
Paramedics treated the pair for burns before they were taken to local hospitals.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that their injuries are not life-threatening.
No arrests have yet been made as officers continue to investigate.
