Memories to be brought to life at Lower Clapton history event at Round Chapel

Photographs and historical exhibits documenting how Lower Clapton has changed over the past century will be going on display at the Round Chapel next month as part of a special event.

Lower Clapton Heritage Project volunteers have been collecting memories and personal stories about the area and these will be showcased as part of a free event at the Round Chapel from 2.00-4.30 on 13 November.

As well as an exhibition, there will be storytelling and film screenings.

A ‘history map’ of Lower Clapton will be launched on the day and free copies will be available.

Lower Clapton Heritage Project is run by the Hackney Historic Buildings Trust.
