Cache of knives discovered close to Hackney Wick following Mabley Green brawl

This is the image released by police today showing horrendous weapons found in parkland in Hackney after reports of youths fighting.

Officers said the knives were found on Thursday night close to Hackney Wick after they were called to reports of young people fighting.

They are appealing for anyone who witnessed a brawl in Mabley Green last night to call police on 101.

No one is believed to have been injured in the clash.

The pictures show what looks like a “zombie knife” – a type of weapon banned amid concern it glamorises lethal violence – as well as a machete-style knife and several other weapons.

One man has been arrested by officers on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon following the discovery of the haul, police said.
