Drug user complains of ‘rip-off’ dealer to police
A drug user has turned to Hackney Police to report their dealer for ripping them off.
The 999 call, which was answered by Sergeant Richard Berns of Brownswood ward, was made by someone complaining they were being overcharged for drugs.
Sergeant Berns posted the incident on Twitter: “A caller just rang 999 to report their drug dealer keeps ripping them off and they’re fed up with it!”, Sergeant Berns tweeted.

The incident is one of several where criminals have alerted the police to their activities, one resulting in the arrest of an alleged drug dealer who tried to sell drugs to a policeman via text message earlier this year.
According to the Evening Standard, no arrests have been made.
