Teenage girl charged with murder of Jeremie Malenge

A 17-year-old girl has been charged with the murder of teenager Jeremie Malenge.

Malenge, of Arcola Street, was stabbed in the chest in Ponsford Street last Tuesday evening after an altercation with three or four male youths in a shop off Homerton High Street.

It is understood that police spoke to Malenge an hour before he was killed. The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating.

The female will appear in custody at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 12 January.
