Firefighters tackle huge fire in Stamford Hill
Firefighters battled a huge blaze above a pharmacy in Stamford Hill this afternoon.
Six fire engines were called to tackle the fire at around 4pm. Huge crowds gathered outside the three storey building as 36 firefighters fought to put out the fire.
The roof of the three storey building was badly damaged but there were no injures. Dan Window, Neighbourhood Sergeant for Hackney Borough Police, tweeted:

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said that the fire was “under control”.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
