Woman hit by police car in Dalston in ‘critical condition’
A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after she was hit by an unmarked police car in Dalston last night.
The collision took place at the junction of Kingsland Road and Ridley Road just before 11.30pm yesterday (Saturday 3 May).
The 22 year-old pedestrian was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
The police car, on ‘blues and twos’, had been responding to an incident prior to the collision.
There were no other casualties and no arrests have been made.
Local road closures are in place.
The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
