Police appeal for witnesses to attack on Victoria Park jogger
Police hunting a man believed to have struck a lone female jogger with a blow to her head are appealing for witnesses to the seemingly motiveless attack.
The victim, who is in her 20s, was reportedly unable to provide police with any description of her attacker.
The incident took place at around 6.20am on Tuesday in Victoria Park and the attacker is believed to have struck the woman from behind.
The victim has been discharged from hospital after receiving medical attention.
Parts of the Hackney side of the park were closed for several hours on Tuesday as police combed the area for clues.
No arrests have been made.
