Full of Eastern promise – rev up for ‘bigger and louder’ EE2013
Eastern Electrics (EE), the electronic music festival taking place next month, will be bigger and louder than ever before, if you believe the hype.
Promoted by the people who publicised Found, which took place in Haggerston Park last month, EE2013 is this year being staged in Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire.
It will feature musicians including techno visionary Richie Hawtin, Berlin-based collective Moderat and DJ Dave Clarke, the so-called Baron of Techno.
Inspired by events such as Time Warp and Awakenings, EE2013 have teamed up with Loud Sound and Sumsonic, the teams behind production for the likes of Glastonbury, Bestival and Creamfields.
In the heart of the EE2013 site will be a custom built pub, The Star of Eastern Electrics – billed as the perfect rave pub – which takes inspiration from promoter Rob Star’s successful pub group, which includes The Star of Bethnal Green, and Star by Hackney Downs.
