Hackney Police are appealing for witnesses and information in connection with an assault in a Dalston bar.

On Sunday 10 March a 26 year-old man was out with a friend in Birthdays, 33 – 35 Stoke Newington High Street, N16.

At around 1.30am the suspect struck the victim with a glass in an unprovoked attack.

The victim sustained a fractured cheekbone.

Suspect: wanted for questioning by Hackney police

The man police want to question is Mediterranean in appearance, aged 20 – 26 years old and 5ft 8ins tall.

He has short dark hair and an athletic and stocky build, and was wearing a green teeshirt with writing on.
