14 year-old Hackney girl arrested after loaded revolver found in wardrobe

A 14 year-old Hackney girl was arrested this week following a police search of her home.

Officers from the Trident Gang Crime Command North East Proactive Team confirmed that on Tuesday 19 February a loaded revolver had been found inside a wardrobe in a home in Waterloo Close, Homerton.

Detective Inspector Steve Meechan from Trident said: “In light of the tragic events at the weekend, Officers are committed to tackling gun crime by holding to account those who chose to carry weapons and are involved in gang violence. Trident will continue its efforts to take these weapons out of circulation.”
