Do you love to garden but have no green space to get your hands dirty? Or do you want lovely plants on your doorstep but have too little the time to tend them?

Whether you have a garden in need of attention or you love gardening and want to help a neighbour, a new Garden Swap scheme could be for you.

If you have a garden but gardening  is just not your thing, the organisers of the scheme can pair you up with a green-fingered neighbour who will help you look after and spruce up your plants and shrubs.

If you are green-fingered and love plants but you do not have a garden yourself, you can donate your time to someone else and help to create a beautiful green space. This can mean  anything from growing fresh food and vegetables to nurturing a few flowers.

As part of this scheme you will have the opportunity to beautify the local area and help out a neighbour. You may even be able to take home some of the fruits and vegetables that you have helped to plant.

In addition, you can even benefit from free gardening-related training courses as well as exciting trips and days out.

This scheme is run by Hackney Homes.
