Find crafty folk at new Brewhouse market
London Fields Brewery has launched a new Folk and Crafts market this month, as the most recent addition to Hackney’s buzzing market scene.
The BrewHouse market started on Sunday 2 September in Helmsley Place, where residents enjoyed their first taste of the weekly market from 10am to 6pm.
The event included everything from bike repairs to baby wear, along with fashion, jewellery, accessories, artworks and prints. Visitors also took advantage of the food and hot drinks on offer, including some home-made treats.
The BrewHouse aims to bring residents “the best from local independent businesses, craft producers and retailers.” There will also be live music from ‘Live & Unamplified’ throughout the day every week.
“Were looking to create an opportunity for people to come down and meet their local creative community,” said Charlie Otth, events coordinator for the London Fields Brewery, “an opportunity for stall holders to network amongst each other and build a new more intimate market institution.”
To further lubricate your interest, the London Fields Brewery are running a bar serving freshly brewed beer, as well as your usual bar spread, for the opening month of the market.
The BrewHouse market takes places every Sunday at 37 Helmsley Place, E8 3SB. For more information call 020 7256 7174 or visit London Fields Brewery.
