Real Ale and Rockin’ Blues Festival
The recently re-launched Sebright Arms hosts its Real Ale and Rockin’ Blues Festival this weekend, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 March.
The pub-cum-music-venue, tucked behind Hackney Road, is putting on the event to showcase the cask ales they have on offer and to champion local micro-breweries.
Spokesperson Hilary Cornwell said: “The festival can be seen as indicitive of the rising popularity of ale, and the sense of community engendered by the micro-breweries and their emphasis on the local and British-made.”
Over 20 cask ales will be available at the festival, priced at £2.50 each. They will include ales from 15 London ale producers, including London Fields, Redchurch, and East London breweries, as well as a sneak preview from the Hackney Brewery, launching in late March.
The festival also features craft beer from Redemption, Sambrook’s, Brodie’s, Kernel, Windsor and Eton, Ha’Penny, Camden, Meantime, Moncada, By the Horns, Rye Lane, plus more TBA.
Food at the festival will be supplied by cult East London burger van Lucky Chip, and music will be courtesy of Gaz Mayall’s Rockin’ Blues.
