The Moringa Tree charity launches SuperSeed Challenge
A Hackney-based charity has embarked on an ambitious and innovative campaign to raise money for a community in Ghana.
The Moringa Tree charity’s SuperSeed Challenge, open to any interested parties, asks participants to trade their way from a single Moringa seed to something more lucrative for a charity auction. This original fundraising technique was inspired by Kyle MacDonald who, in 14 transactions, traded a red paperclip for a house.
The charity, which specialises in using “arts and culture to spread positivity”, is hoping the money raised from this particular project, with proceeds going towards the creation of a visitor centre in Ghana’s Busua Beach, will establish a sustainable income source to fund development in the local community.
With the competition running right through 2012, there is plenty of time for trading. For more information and to register, visit The Moringa Tree.
