Little reporters’ competition: win tickets to The Apple Cart Festival 2011

Have you heard about The Apple Cart Festival yet?

It’s a brand new, bespoke one-day festival festival to be held in Victoria Park on Sunday 7 August for lovers of music, comedy, interactive art, cabaret, good food and magic from the Field Day/Underage Festival team.

They’ve just launched a really cool competition, inviting young people up to age 14 to become reporters for the festival, giving them the opportunity to win tickets for their parents (it’s free for under 14s anyway), then document the day and interview some of the acts: Tim Minchin, Saint Etienne, Badly Drawn Boy, Magic Numbers all confirmed, amongst many others.

The competition involves people recording a short interview with anyone, and uploading to a bespoke Soundcloud group.

The festival is  family-orientated – aside from the music and comedy, there’s arts, magic, book readings and all sorts of treats.
