The 1-2-3-4 festival 2010
Hackney’s premier underground music festival is back this year with five stages of rock and electronica up-and-comers and veterans. The 1234 Shoreditch festival is taking place this Saturday 24 July in Shoreditch Park and features indie wave-makers These New Puritans, Wavves and Dum Dum Girls. Rock royalty will be represented by The Silver Machine (consisting of Primal Scream, Sex Pistols and Oasis members), Vic Goddard and the Subway Sect, and the festival’s most recent addition Peter Hook of Joy Division and New Order. Full line up can be found here.
Festival director Sean Mclusky said: “I heard a rumour that Peter Hook had performed his seminal Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures in its entirety in Manchester a few weeks ago… I had to have this for THE1234 as an exclusive London show. And we have! I mean I know people in Shoreditch that have the cover of Unknown Pleasures tattooed on their bodies!”
The 1234 continues late into Saturday night with aftershows in clubs and venues around Shoreditch, which are included in the festival entry ticket.
Tickets are £20 plus booking fee and are available from Seetickets, Ticketweb and WeGotTickets.
£20 cash tickets can also be bought from festival headquarters at 30a Redchurch Street, E2 7DP
