‘New and exciting chapter’: Big Creative Education to expand its offering

Big Creative Education, formerly Dv8 Training and Dv8 Academy, is an innovative 16-19 school for excellence in Digital Media, Gaming, Music, Event Management, Performing Arts, PR & Marketing and Fashion Design.

In September 2014, Dv8 Training, a training provider that has earned a national reputation for delivering courses in the creative industries, expanded on 14 years of success with the launch of Dv8 Academy, expanding its offering across London and the South East.

Having been shortlisted for ‘2015 Training Provider of the Year’ at the TES’ annual Further Education Awards, BCE, now bustling with nearly 400 students, continues to grow and gain recognition in both the creative and education sectors.

With an ever-growing level of interest from prospective students and an impressive roster of ambassadors from ITN, Island Records, Barcroft Media, Industry In The Streets (IITS), Question Media Group and BAFTA award-winning writer and actor Ben Bailey Smith, Dv8 Training will be joining with Dv8 Academy to become Big Creative Education.

From September 2015 Big Creative Education will offer courses at all levels in:

— Digital Media / Gaming

— Music Performance

— Music Production

— Event Management

— Performing Arts

– PR & Marketing

— Fashion Design

In addition, students can progress to a Big Creative Apprenticeship in Music Business, Live Events or Digital Media and start employment with over 100 companies that currently deliver apprenticeships with Dv8.

In 2016 both schools will move to a new site, as part of the new Big Creative Village in Walthamstow.

Sacha Corcoran MBE, Principal of Dv8 Academy, says: “Dv8 Academy is excited to be joining the Big Creative Family as Dv8 moves onto a new and exciting chapter and we’re here to make it easy for creative people and big thinkers to learn, collaborate, innovate and have successful careers in the creative industries.”

Big Creative will build on the success of Dv8 and continue to provide the next generation of creatives with outstanding teaching and learning, a platform to re-imagine education and a focus on the wellbeing of every young person who comes through the doors.

The evolution of Dv8 into Big Creative is a testament to the hard work, talent and passion that the organization has for the creative industries. As the name has grown, so has the reputation, and now so does the brand.
