Property giants Taylor Wimpey have revealed plans to build “boutique” residential flats in Dalston.

Hackney Council approved planning permission to the developers in June for the construction of a five storey building fronting Kingsland High Street and a fifteen storey building fronting Boleyn Road.

The buildings consist of 98 homes – 83 private and 15 affordable – as well as retail space on the ground floor.

The development has been designed by Jestico + Whiles, an interior and architectural design practice.

Ingrid Skinner, Managing Director of Taylor Wimpey Central London, says: “Dalston is an exciting location with significant growth potential and the acquisition of this site is part of our strategy to create unique, quality projects in the most sought after locations in London.”

Building work will begin in 2015 and aim for completion in 2017.
