Guitar music night Iridescent to launch at Oslo

Oslo: Hackney Central's new food and entertainment hub is now open

Iridescent launches on Thursday 1 May

A brand new night giving a platform for East London artists and musicians to hang out and listen to their favourite guitar-based music is launching on 1 May at Oslo in Hackney Central.

Iridescent kicks off at 10pm on Thursday with a range of garage, punk, psych and pop classics from the Iridescent residents, including DJ sets from Sam Davies (Charlie Boyer & the Voyeurs), Raw Meat DJsSumo Science and Leah-Donne.

The iconic filmmaker, Peter Whitehead, has granted the venue access to his vault of ground-breaking documentaries and music videos, with rare and never before seen footage of The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Nico, The Animals, Pink Floyd and The Beach Boys projected and remixed live on the night.

Oslo is on the look out for artists, film-makers, designers and musicians to collaborate and get involved with the night. Anyone interested in having their work featured at Iridescent can get in touch via Facebook.
